FAQs
What date should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by the 12th of July 2025. We would love to hear from you! You can submit your response here.
Is the wedding in Sydney?
Our wedding will be held in the Southern Highlands, just under two hours from Sydney. We’ve arranged transport for our guests flying in, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. You can find more details here.
Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?
We’ve made special arrangements with Sylvan Glen Estate, which will be exclusively ours for the weekend. On-site accommodations are limited and reserved for our closest family and friends. If we’ve saved a spot for you, you’ll find a booking code and room details in your email. For those needing accommodation nearby, as well as in and around Sydney before the wedding, please click here for our recommendations.
Do I need a visa to travel to Australia?
Yes, depending on your nationality, you may need a visa to enter Australia.
Philippine passport holders will typically require a Subclass 600 Visitor Visa, which allows entry for tourism, visiting friends and family, or attending an event like a wedding.
US passport holders will need an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) Subclass 601, which can be applied for via the Australian ETA app.
EU/UK passport holders are also required to get an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA), Subclass 651 to travel to Australia.
We recommend checking the Australian Department of Home Affairs website on the most-up-to-date information on visa requirements based on your nationality. We also suggest starting your application well in advance, as processing times can vary. Attaching a copy of our invitation may help support your application by showing the reason for your travel.
Please be aware that Australia has strict biosecurity laws, so please check what you can and cannot bring into the country. Certain food, plant and animal products are prohibited (like Aina’s Delimondo corned beef) or require declaration upon arrival. You can find more details here.
What will the weather be like?
We’re thrilled to be getting married during the first week of Spring! While we had hoped for a cozy winter wedding, the Southern Highlands in Spring can still offer cool temperatures - typically around 5-17°C. Sydney temperatures are usually milder, ranging from 11-21°C.
Is the wedding indoor or outdoors?
Weather permitting, our ceremony will be held outdoors, surrounded by nature’s beauty and the occasional kangaroos. The reception will be indoors, ensuring we’re warm and comfortable all evening.
What should I wear?
We can’t wait to see everyone dressed up for the occasion! You can find all the details on our dress code here.
Can I bring a date or a mate?
We’ve kept our guest list small and intimate, inviting those who have been an important part of our journey together. Please refer to your invitation for the number of guests or seats allocated to you. We truly appreciate your understanding.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
We love your little ones, but due to space constraints, we’ve decided to keep our celebration adults-only. We hope you understand, and we’d be so happy for you to join us for this special day and enjoy the time off!
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We want you to be fully present with us during the ceremony, so we kindly ask that all phones and cameras be put away. Our wonderful photography and videography team will be there to capture the occasion, so you can enjoy every moment with us.
After the ceremony, take as many photos as you’d like! Don’t forget to tag us or use #stevieapproves — we’d love to relive this special day with you.
What if I RSVP’d yes and can no longer attend?
We completely understand that life can change unexpectedly. If you are no longer able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make any necessary adjustments.
Will there be an after party?
Yes! We specifically chose Sylvan Glen Estate because we want to spend more time with everyone. After the reception, we’ll have an intimate after party by the firepits or at the guest house where you can unwind and enjoy some relaxed moments with us. It’ll be a perfect opportunity to chat, stay warm and make memories as the evening winds down.
